In the recent Supreme Court of the British Indian Ocean Territory “BIOT” judgment CT et al v The Commissioner for the BIOT, it was found that the Children Act 1989 applies on BIOT, this means that the vulnerable migrant children on the island are entitled to all the protections the Act provides.
