In a case which has continued to attract wide media attention, Sir Jonathan Cohen has now dismissed two further Judgment Summons for non-payment of monies, with no order as to sentencing, brought by Lady Barclay against her former husband, Sir Frederick Barclay.
This follows the dismissal of Lady Barclay’s first Judgment Summons for non-payment of £50m (the first instalment of a total award of £100m) on 28 July 2022 in Barclay v Barclay [2022] EWHC 2026 (Fam) (available here) and fifteen further hearings thereafter.
