Chambers would like to congratulate Alexander Chandler KC on his authorisation to act as a deputy Judge of the High Court in the Family Division, in accordance with section 9(1) of the Senior Courts Act 1981.
The recommendation was made by the Judicial Appointments Commission with the approval of the President of the Family Division following consultation with the Lord Chancellor. Alex has been deployed to the South Eastern Circuit for a term of six years.
Alex was previously appointed to sit as a Recorder in 2020 in the Family Court and has been authorised to sit in the Crown Court.
This is a part-time position and Alex will continue to practice full time from chambers, as a barrister, PFDR evaluator and arbitrator specialising in financial remedies.
